The Gerhold lab is part of the Department of Biology at McGill University in the beautiful city of Montreal. We are currently located in the North wing of the Stewart Biology building.
The Gerhold lab is recruiting curious and enthusiastic graduate students (MSc and PhD) and post-doctoral fellows with an interest in cell biology and development and/or computational image analysis for Winter and/or Fall 2022.
We welcome everyone, regardless of race, religion, nationality, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or disability. We are dedicated to advancing equity and representation in science and members of underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.
Undergraduates: Undergraduates are always welcome provided we have space. Students with a background in computer science who want to help develop computational image analysis tools are particularly encouraged to apply. Please send your CV and brief email explaining why you want to work in our lab.
Graduate candidates (MSc and PhD): Include your CV (including GPA and 3 referees), and a brief description of your previous research experience. Please also explain why you want to join our lab and what project(s) you would like to pursue. Information on the Biology Department graduate program can be found here. For international applicants, only PhD candidates will be considered. Please note, that incomplete inquiries may not receive a reply.
Postdoctoral fellows: Include your CV (including 3 referees), a short proposal describing the research that you would like to pursue in the lab, a brief statement describing your previous research experience and your overall career goals. Please also list any fellowships/grants that you will be eligible for.
Please email Abby for more information and to apply.
