The Gerhold lab is part of the Department of Biology at McGill University in the beautiful city of Montreal. We are currently located in the North wing of the Stewart Biology building.
The Gerhold lab is recruiting curious and enthusiastic graduate students (MSc and PhD) and post-doctoral fellows with an interest in cell biology and development and/or computational image analysis for the 2021/2022 academic year. The lab is now re-open and we're doing our best to continue our research while also doing our part to stop the spread of COVID-19.
We welcome everyone, regardless of race, religion, nationality, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or disability. We are dedicated to advancing equity and representation in science and members of underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.
Undergraduates: We currently are looking for undergraduate students with a background in computer science who want to help develop computational image analysis tools.
Graduate candidates (MSc and PhD): Include your CV (including GPA and 3 referees) and a brief description of your previous research experience and what project(s) you would like to pursue in the lab. Information on the Biology Department graduate program can be found here. For international applicants, only PhD candidates will be considered. Please note, that incomplete inquiries may not receive a reply.
Postdoctoral fellows: Include your CV (including 3 referees), a short proposal describing the research that you would like to pursue in the lab, a brief statement describing your previous research experience and your overall career goals. Please also list any fellowships/grants that you will be eligible for.
Please email Abby for more information and to apply.
