The Gerhold lab is looking for curious and enthusiastic graduate students (MSc and PhD) and post-doctoral fellows with an interest in cell biology and development and/or computational image analysis. We welcome everyone, regardless of race, religion, nationality, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or ability. Undergraduates: Undergraduates are welcome provided we have space. Students with a background in computer science who want to help develop computational image analysis tools are particularly encouraged to apply. Please send Abby your CV and brief email explaining why you want to work in our lab.

Graduate candidates (MSc and PhD): To apply to the Gerhold lab, please send Abby your CV, a brief description of your previous research experience, and a description of what project(s) you would like to pursue during your degree. Information on the Biology Department graduate program can be found here.  Please note, that incomplete inquiries may not receive a reply.

 

**We are not accepting international applicants for Winter or Fall 2026. Please check back in Fall 2026 for openings in 2027.

**For Canadian citizens or permanent residents, we may have space for Fall 2026. Please check back in January for openings.

Postdoctoral fellows: Please send Abby your CV (including 3 referees), a short proposal describing the research that you would like to pursue in the lab, and a brief statement describing your previous research experience and your overall career goals. Please also list any fellowships/grants that you will be eligible for.
